JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE

To ensure provision of adequate resources, initiatives, and use of proven quality models for effective and efficient delivery of project meeting customer and other applicable requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Organize, deliver Quality related training, and support the development of in-house quality training material.

• Monitor the approved Quality related PMT & non-revenue budget whilst placing high priority on ensuring all activities are undertaken in accordance with HSEQ Policies and procedures.

• Allocate QC resources effectively and efficiently across the Projects. • Plan, prioritize, and schedule own workload as well as that of the team, including planning for the effective use of both resources and time.

• Respond rapidly and effectively to the immediate needs of quality situation, ensuring speedy appraisal of situations/identification of problems, evaluation of possible solutions/correction action, and timely implementation of agreed action plan.

• Managing issues by determining Root Causes, positioning & judging. Managing complexity by creating orderliness, working to standards, and optimizing process

• Create a climate by leading by example, teamwork and communicating. Resolving competing personal demands.

• Maintaining interface with the Client (at the shop level) to ensure that all contractual and code requirements are met as far as the inspection scope is concerned.

• Adapting to new changes & open thinking by appreciating new technology.

• In-depth knowledge of various codes, standards, and client specifications. Skilled in Leadership of quality improvement projects. Training and presenting to a wide range of audiences. Communicate with staff and Managers at all levels. Diagnosing process problem and developing solutions

• Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures.

Who we are looking for

Education

• (Preferred) Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Equivalent.

• Technical diploma degree or equivalent.

Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations)

• Shall be Saudi Aramco Approved Project Quality Manager / Project QC Supervisor.

• Senior Welding Inspection Cert. (CSWIP 3.2/AWS-SCWI or equivalent)

• ASNT/PCN NDT Certification at least to level II grade or equivalent in basic fabrication relevant methods (UT, RT, PT, MT).

• ISO 9001:2015 Auditor or Lead Auditor Certification.

• Certification in any painting inspection scheme and other quality related field will be considered an added advantage.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

• Excellent listening skills, assertiveness, and ability to coach subordinates.

• Physically fit and able to work in extreme climatic conditions.

• Able to perceive the mood of a customer or subcontractor and react appropriately.

• Able to read, understand and interpret Engineering drawings.

• Demonstrate ability to listen to the views of others and respond in a logical and well-thought-out manner.

• Basic knowledge of NDT methods (RT, UT, MT, PT, VT, PAUT, TOFD, etc.)

• Ability to interpret codes, standards, and specifications applicable in Maritime business.

• Excellent knowledge of documentation, computer operation, procedures & applicable ERP systems

• Excellent ability to take swift action, improvise new problem-solving routes, initiate a culture of teamwork, take on new initiatives, maintain effective teamwork in dealing with situations and conflicts.

• Valid professional qualification as applicable (CSWIP/AWS/BGAS/NACE or equivalent + Management System Lead Auditor) Experience

• For bachelor holders at least 9-15 years, for diploma holder 15+ years of experience in Marine/Offshore fabrication industries with QC functions. Languages
