Your future role & Primary Accountabilities

We are looking to hire a Legal Counsel, who will be responsible for but not limited to:

The position holder is responsible for autonomously carrying out a vast array of legal subjects and provides active support in different legal activities which the IMI may be involved in. To help the IMI adheres to the legal rules and regulations.

Key Accountabilities

• Conducts routine and specific legal and information research and compiles and organizes information, as appropriate.

• Conduct periodic assessment of an organization’s operations to ensure they are in line with external and internal regulations.

• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of specialized and general business policies to effectively manage risks.

• Responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and following contracts with suppliers, service providers, clients.

• Supervising the Law Analyst(s) with regards to all their work and especially ensuring the renewal and maintenance of the company`s licenses and permits.

• Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and other documents.

• Preparing and filing documents with courts and government authorities.

• Perform, and supervise the Legal Analyst(s) and intern(s) in the performance of, the organization and archiving of the documents related to completed and ongoing cases/projects as well as other relevant documents.

• Keeping track of changes in legal framework and providing timely updates on these changes.

• Management of the external lawyers/consultants.

• Advise internal departments related to local regulations and compliance.

• Assist and/or perform important duties regarding the Company`s corporate acts and documents and the Company`s governance.

• Provides legal advice to the firm on various matters.

• Checks the details of the contracts and filter the agreement criteria.

• Contributes in handling the legal problems and issues in case of any disputes.

• Researches well into the different legal rules and should stay updated about any changes.

Who we are looking for

• Law Degree

• Must have had at least 2 years’ experience in a related field.

• Must have had at least 2 years of working experience as a Legal Counsel (a law firm/in-house of repute).

• Registered lawyer with relevant membership from the governing authority (not mandatory)
