Job Purpose:

The position holder is responsible for directing comprehensive plans for technical services and activities across the yard, overseeing scaffolding operations, including erection, modification, and inspection, and managing motor rewinding/calibration activities within the electronics and instrumentation shop.

Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships:

• Direct comprehensive plans for technical services and activities across the yard.

• Ensure to allocate resources efficiently for various services and activities in collaboration with relevant teams.

• Develop and implement inventory control procedures for tools, equipment, and consumables.

• Oversee all scaffolding operations, including erection, modification, dismantling, and inspection of scaffolding structures.

• Plan and schedule scaffolding activities in coordination with project timelines, considering project priorities and resource availability.

• Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and other departments to determine scaffolding requirements and timelines.

• Allocate and manage resources effectively, including scaffolding materials, equipment, and manpower, to support project requirements.

• Oversee the motor rewinding/calibration activities within the electronics and instrumentation shop.

• Oversee all activities related to technical services such as tool issuance/return, inspection, and documentation.

• Ensure effective cascading of the functional strategy into department business plans for vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing departments/units.

• Manage the effective achievement of assigned objectives through the leadership of the department by setting of individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff to maximize

Who we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Equivalent.

At least 20+ years in similar role in shipyards or maritime industries including 5 years in managerial level.

• Experience in Saudi Arabia is of high value.
