Job Purpose

We are looking to hire Engineer, Electrical Yard Construction,

This job role is to ensure The candidate must be able to work collaboratively with the construction team and effectively communicate results and concerns to the Manager / engineer. Handle on-site electrical activities, as well work with project teams including Project Managers & Project Engineers, Superintendents, field personnels and other departments to successfully deliver all assigned projects.

Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships

Key Accountabilities:

The Engineer, Electrical Yard Construction who will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Ensure all works are executed safely, with desired level of quality, on time, and within budget in accordance with the contract / Project requirement and IMI's Management System.

• Monitor all the electrical activities (executions, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, certifications, manuals, handovers etc.) required to execute the work in accordance with the schedules and in compliance with the projects’ objectives, specifications, procedures, requirement, and directives.

• Assists the Yard Readiness Manager (YRM) and the Yard Readiness (YR) team by providing input to identify key success factors, timing of project milestone dates deliverables, reporting, and establishing common goals for the team.

• Provide leadership to cause the creation of organization structure and process required to fully execute the requirements of services and is responsible for the execution of electrical services, quality, and monitoring of contractors’ performances.

• Evaluates electrical service execution for compliance to contract, design data schedule, cost budgets, and quality, advising the project team (Yard Readiness) of status, issues, impacts, risk, and cost influence factor on “to go” scope.

• Committed to project Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), Quality Assurance – Quality Control (QA-QC) and Socio-Economic requirement.

• Review construction and work breakdown sequence of the ongoing Projects as directed by the YRM.

• Identify interdependencies associated with readiness of the projects or as directed by the YRM.

• Review interdependencies for pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup. Identify concerns and associated risks. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve interface issues.

• Interact daily with the Saudi Aramco PMT (Project Management Team) to interpret and evaluate the progress of all projects or as directed to him by the YRM.

• Conduct PMCC (Partial-Mechanical Completion Certificate) and attend KOM (Kick-Off Meetings) and Walkthroughs to record all the punch lists and follow-up for the closing of all mentioned items (especially on items relating to electrical activities).

• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE) responsibilities.

• Able to take the lead and solve onsite technical issues and to monitor and close punch list items raised.

• Provide feedback on processes and procedures, as the company truly believes in continuous development.

• Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.

• Generate daily reports of work conducted and generate reports in a timely manner.

Who we are looking for

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.

Experience:

• At least 3-9 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in any construction projects.

Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations):

• AutoCAD

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

• Knowledge in Maritime Yard Construction and Operational Projects.

• Computer skills with knowledge in MS Office and MS Project preferred.

• Knowledge in industrial electrical works, underground utility installation, above-ground utility installation, modular substations, main receiving substations, and fabrication workshops electrical works in general.

• Physically fit and able to work in extreme climatic conditions and work pressure.

• Knowledge of Material test certificate & Material traceability report.

• Good knowledge in construction safety and permit to work procedures including quality issues.

• Team leader.
