Operator, Forklift

• Forklift / Manlift operator responsible for performing Forklift / Manlift operations safely and efficiently in accordance with given instructions and safety requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Read and understand Forklift / Manlift manual's / charts and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).

• Follow L&R Foreman and Supervisor instruction in accordance with L&R operation and safety procedures.

• Operate the forklift / manlift in line with operation manual, load charts and as per supervision supervisor instruction.

• Fill out the daily operations forklift / manlift checklist before any operation.

• Controls Forklift / Manlift movements in response to hand signals or radio commands by flagman / banksmen / supervisors. Foremen or Rigger.

• Overseas the care and maintenance of forklift / manlift equipment. Ensure proper licensing and inspections are kept current and coordinates the necessary maintenance and repairs of equipment with L&R supervisor and maintenance department.

• Ensure the safe and effective utilization of forklift/ manlift.

• Make sure that the forklift / manlift is maintained in proper working order.

• Make sure that the require care and maintenance is accomplished on forklift / manlift equipment / part.

• Stop unsafe activity and report any potential hazards to L&R Foreman, Supervisor and safety team,

• Support the Production & Project supervisor with planned activity.

• Preferred to have a proper knowledge of rigging and lifting.

• Provides input for daily work / sheets / Forklift - manlift time sheet for each project.

• Ensuring that all requirements / documents / permits are available before executing the operations.

• Must be able to work in a standard field environment (being aware of your surroundings and operations going on around you, forklift / manlift size and required area for movement / operations.).

• Heavy duty work (Lifting, pushing, pulling 22.5Kg).

Edication

• Diploma degree or equivalent.

• Certified as forklift operator or proven record of sufficient experience.

• Certified as Manlift operator - advantage.

• Lifting Certificates / rigging training like Rigger II, III or equivalent would be preferred.

Experience

• At least 6 to 9 years of experience in Shipyard / construction industries.

• Experience working with Hyundai forklifts is preferrable.
