Job Purpose

The position holder is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring the efficient movement and storage of goods, and supporting overall warehouse operations. This role involves monitoring stock levels, performing regular inventory checks, and ensuring that stock is organized and accessible.

Key Accountabilities

• Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels, ensuring that inventory records are up to date.

• Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and audits to verify the accuracy of inventory records.

• Identify and report discrepancies between physical stock and system records, investigating and resolving any issues.

• Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.

• Receive and process incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality of goods against purchase orders.

• Ensure that stock is properly labeled, organized, and stored according to company standards.

• Track and document stock movements, including transfers, returns, and adjustments.

• Prepare and manage documentation for inventory transactions, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that stock is stored safely and accessibly.

• coordinate with warehouse staff to prioritize and fulfill orders based on urgency and proponent requirements.

• Enter and update inventory data in the warehouse management system (WMS) or other inventory software.

• Generate and analyze inventory reports, providing insights and recommendations to management.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory management and stock control.

• Work closely with warehouse staff, procurement, and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

• adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment in the warehouse.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Education:

Diploma degree or equivalent.

  • Experience:

At least 6-9 years of related experience.

  • Languages:

Excellent command of English (writing and speaking).
