Job Purpose
We are looking to hire Superintendent, Maintenance Facilities ,
This job role is to ensure The position holder is responsible for the overall maintenance of the facility equipment and systems within the zone of responsibility, including non-people buildings, roads, and others.
Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships
Key Accountabilities:
The Superintendent, Maintenance Facilities who will be responsible for but not limited to:
• Ensure all your zone related work activities are done safely and environmentally friendly with zero tolerance.
• Monitor, coordinate and oversee the financial, physical, and regulatory operations of the assigned facility equipment portfolio.
• Ensure the implementation of Asset Management System.
• Ensure full alignment in how asset management is implemented between different areas within your zone. Then, ensure the same alignment with other zones.
• Support asset engineers and supervisors in coordinating with Operations all the assets outages and shutdowns.
• Provide technical and logistical assistance to facility engineers in identifying and resolving facility equipment and systems failures and trips.
• Review and approve capital improvement and/or maintenance requirements related to facility equipment and systems.
• Review and approve operating budgets related to facilities.
• Communicate with other zones the facility equipment and systems unique and chronic failures to share the knowledge and experience.
• Recommend changes to asset management plans according to the facility equipment and systems’ failures modes, main time between failures and historical reliability data.
• Review facility equipment and systems operating monthly reports and financial statements, analyze performance against budget, research variances, recommend and implement operational changes to meet performance objectives.
• Track maintenance issues and ensure they are resolved in a timely, cost-effective manner.
• Ensure the implementation of ISO 55001:2014 system in the zone.
• Recommend and coordinate capital improvement and/or maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate and ensure completion of annual compliance reports, contracts, and related documentation.
• Recommend decisions to dispose the non-conforming assets supported by Whole life-cycle costing analysis.
• Understand context of the organization and identify related risk and opportunities in the department.
• Apply best practices in overseeing efficient, cost-effective, and flexible maintenance activities within established budgets.
• Monitor your business related KPIs and take timely action to meet their targets.
• Manage your zone staff, including allocation of duties, competency training, performance evaluation and leave roster and absence.
• Work closely with HSEQ Department for potential hazards, to provide a safe working environment, for all employees.
• As per ISO55001, review and approve business case studies including risk and decision-making matrix for acquisition of new assets.
• Review and recommend adjustment to the outsourcing strategies.
• Implement the asset management competency guideline and report compliance to asset management GM.
• Review and approve the manpower Training Needs Analysis and Individual Developmental Plans.
• Evaluate the manpower annual performance.

Who we are looking for
Education:
• Diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent
Experience:
• For bachelor holders at least 9-15 years, for diploma holders at 15+ years of practical experience in Shipyard or similar working environment experience.
• IFS practical experience is a plus.
Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations):
• The IAM AM principles or CAMA certificate is a plus.
• ISO31000 Lead Certificate is a plus.
