Job Purpose

We are looking to hire Senior Designer, Piping,

This job role is to ensure The job holder is responsible for developing Piping Engineering Design, developing P&IDs also contributes to carrying out administrative activities such as material management, resources estimations and scheduling while ensuring that compliance to IMI standards and regulation.

Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships

Key Accountabilities:

The Senior Designer, Piping who will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Develop designs such as Plot Plans, Equipment Layouts, Piping Plans, 30 Model with overall assistance of Senior I Lead Engineer.

• Develop 20 drawings in AutoCAD.

• Develop P&IDs.

• Activity and deliverable planning, scheduling, and monitoring along with Senior / Lead Engineer.

• Involve in Bid Engineering i.e., bid estimation for man hours and materials.

• Distribution, monitoring and checking of the work of assigned team.

• Reviews for overall completeness, general safety, access and egress, materials handling, maintenance, and operability etc.

• Perform inter-disciplinary checks.

• Ensure schedule compliance of Design deliverables i.e., drawings, isometrics, MTO support details etc.

• Input to Material Requisition, allocation, and reconciliation of materials.

• Review and comment on Supplier drawings.

• Perform site survey, as necessary.

• Assist lead engineer in performance assessments of designers &establishing training needs.

• Ensure compliance with project specifications and company procedures.

• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures as applicable.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies &procedures.

Working Relationships:

Internal Interactions: 

• Internal Engineering Department, other business work-streams within the company, Division Head - Piping & Process, Enginering Manager

External Interactions

• Subcontractors, Consultants, Software Supplier, Inspection Agencies

Who we are looking for

Education:

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent

Experience:

• At least 9+ years in any engineering company. Preference will be given for those had worked in ship and rig building yard, major construction yard, EPC contractor and/or Consultant Company using AVEVA 30 modelling software

Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations):

• Preferred -Any additional certification / Training in CAD tools and system.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

• Working experience in E&I 30 modeling & extraction of drawings in Offshore Oil & Gas industry.

• Experience in 30 design tools like AVEVA .

• Experience in AutoCAD .

• Demonstrated high order interpersonal skills and ability to operate within a multinational environment.

• Good communication skills (both written & verbal) with ability to interact across multiple disciplines.

• English. (Mandatory)
