Job Purpose:

Coordinate development of Proposal & Estimate process and Pre-qualification (PQ) activities for new build ships.

Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships:

• Sales Management process:

• Support Sales to collect PQ material based on Client requests

• Manage PQ within budget, time and performance

• Develop PQ schedule and compliance matrix including TAR's

• Prepare PQ kick-off documentation, in addition to leading the proposal kick-off meeting and tender meetings

• Coordinate with the PQ supporting functions

• Produce PQ response with support from the various internal departments

• Proposal & Estimate process:

• Accurate proposals within timing and budget constraints, including estimation of possible risks for the company and possible opportunities to enhance company offer towards the client

• Run pre-screening for RFQs/ITTs and present to GM Proposal & Estimation recommendation on go/no-go decision

• Manage of the tender and pursuit compliance within budget, time and performance

• Develop Proposal schedule, compliance matrix including TAR's and budget (collecting also budget from other functions)

• Prepare Proposal kick-off documentation, in addition to leading the proposal kick-off meeting and tender meetings

• Coordinate with the Proposal supporting functions • Commercial review of the ITT and corresponding contracting terms and conditions.

• Support VP of Business Development with the pursuit approval process, including preparation of the BRC and Board approval documentation

• Coordinate PED development in conjunction with estimating department

• Coordinate Risk Management process, including kick-off/workshops maintain risk register, distribute as per matrix and follow-up on actions

• Coordinate hand-over process of awarded projects

• Submit to Clients the "Client Satisfaction Survey" and follow-up regularly to collect responses

Who we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

• Technical Certifications in the related field.

• Experience in managing a team and driving results

• Business acumen and financial analysis

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills

• Experience in developing & managing business relationships

• Understanding of sales & marketing principles & strategies

• Lead by example

• Strong technical knowledge and expertise

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to develop accurate and competitive proposals and bids, multi-year experience in developing estimates

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

• At least 9-15 years previous experience in Proposal and Estimates, Operations in a new build ship environment

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

• Fluent in English (Reading, Writing, Speaking)
