JOB PURPOSE
To support the development of the overall strategy of Demand Planning. The individual in this role is
expected to perform spend & category analysis and work closely with all internal stakeholders to capture their
demand and develop planning strategies accordingly.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Lead the development, implementation, and update of all polices strategies, procedures and process
related to demand planning.
• Develop and work with the ERP team to ensure that PSCM requirements related to demand planning
is implemented.
• Develop and maintain demand forecasts for assigned product categories or SKUs based on historical
sales data, market trends, and input from sales and marketing teams.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to gather forecast inputs,
understand demand drivers, and incorporate market intelligence into the forecasting process.
• Analyze demand forecast accuracy and identify opportunities for improvement through statistical
analysis, trend analysis, and root cause analysis.
• Work closely with procurement and production teams to ensure alignment between demand forecasts
and supply plans, including procurement lead times, production capacity, and supplier capabilities.
• Communicate demand forecast updates, changes, and insights to internal stakeholders and external
suppliers as necessary.
• Communicate with all internal stakeholders to ensure capturing accurate forecasting to their
materials/services requirements.
• Develop baseline/ historical trend and forecasts models using excel and/or demand management
tools.
• Analyze and interpret demand data and trends.
• Provide input to all internal functions to help plan their activities accordingly.
• Identify opportunities to enhance business performance through improved analytics and reporting.
• Provide leadership, coordination and coaching to the team, ensuring they are trained enabling them to
achieve the operational and financial metrics within their areas of responsibility and succeed in their
roles.
• People management responsibility.
• Deliver briefs, updates, and reports as and when required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations
Management, Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent.
Professional Qualifications: Demand Planning Certification/ MCIPS considered a plus.
Experience: At least 6-15 years of relevant experience.
Languages: • Excellent in communication skills in English (oral and written)
• Arabic is plus.
