Your future role:
Your job role is to ensure that IMI integrated management system (IMS) is executed in accordance with set schedules / standards and assist in facilitating ongoing regulatory compliance with all applicable legal, contractual and regulatory requirements and obligations. Personnel will work closely with site supervisors to ensure corporate HSE targets and objectives are met.
Your responsibilities:
- You will promote OH&SE awareness through proper communication of IMI's HSE policies, standards and procedures to the workers.
- You will monitor compliance to IMI OH&SE standards, processes & procedures and provide necessary feedback/advice to line supervision/management team and OH&SE department.
- You will take an active role in conducting, monitoring and implementing hazard control processes including Task Risk Assessments (TRAs), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Permit-to-Work documentation, Take 5, ‘Mining the Diamond’, and Stop-for Safety instruments.
- You will carry out regular inspections of work areas, ensure that deficiencies are immediately reported/followed up and recorded as per IMI hazard reporting procedure.
- Lead and participate in HSE audits of IMI onsite and offsite processes/activities in order to check on their compliance with local and international standards and company reference documents.
- Assist and participate in emergency drills and during real emergency situations within IMI operational areas.
- Lead incident investigations, compilation of incident reports and dissemination of lessons learned to the workers.
- Collate and submit HSE reports to Project HSE Manager/Lead on daily, weekly or monthly basis as required.
- Carry out any other duties as instructed by HSE supervisor(s) HSE Leads, actively contribute to the achievement of corporate and departmental KPIs by ensuring that required HSE-related documented information are maintained and available to the appropriate persons/group.
Who we are looking for:
You should hold a Higher National Diploma or relevant discipline. Alternatively, you can hold a NVQ in OH&S level 3.
You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a HSE roles.
You should hold NEBOSH Certificate and are a certified OH&S/EMS auditor.
You are fluent in both Arabic and English (spoken and written). You are an excellent communicator and know how to interact in a multicultural environment.
