Senior Technician, Maintenance

• Utility Maintenance technicians is responsible to safely, timely and cost-effectively of all utility related pumps, water supply system, wastewater, and gas systems operation and maintenance day to day activities as per the asset management plans to achieve asset management objectives.

Key Accountabilities

• Adhere to regulations, quality, security, and safety standards.

• Carry out operation, diagnosis of faults, the maintenance, and repairs to all type of pumps, pipes, valves and related accessories for water, drainage, storm water systems along with gas pipes line in a safe, timely and professional manner and return assets to operational service.

• Plan & perform preventive, predictive, condition-based, overhauling and breakdown for pumps. perform maintenance and operation activities safely and environmentally friendly with zero tolerance in the assigned areas/zones of work.

• Data logging, updating of work completions and work orders (preventive/breakdown checklists) in ERP system as guided by the maintenance supervisor.

• Understanding and operating water supply networks, storm water and drainage networks.

• Repair and maintenance of all type of pumps and understanding / controlling the sequence of works.

• Communicate with maintenance supervisors and zone superintendents about status-quo of operation and maintenance, and opportunity for improvements.

• Ensure all tools, accessories and test equipment are kept clean and serviceable, and advice line supervisor of spares requirements.

• Flexible to working either in shifts or being on call, depending on workload and demand.

Qualification

• Technical Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 6-9 years of relevant experience.
