Job Purpose:

The Senior Contract Specialist shall obtain quality products for competitive prices in a timely fashion to ensure pend owners maximize the value and profitable operation. The position holder has the responsibility for ensuring the code of ethics following policy, procedures, and applicable local regulations. The position holder shall demonstrate integrity, accountability, communication skills and commitment to teamwork.

Key Accountabilities:

• Exercise a strong sense of urgency to maintain high personal performance while making decisions and allocating resources in a cost-efficient manner.

• Support contracting staff, train, counsel and advise staff taking corrective action as needed.

• Institute and make recommendations on policies and procedures for collecting and reporting key metrics that will reduce our overall expenses to ensure increasing productivity and successful compliance of all contracting related activities.

• Monitor business trends and service availability to pay the best price for services without sacrificing quality or delivery times.

• Evaluating, negotiating, and executing various contracts covering a range of transactions.

• Conduct the procurement process and ensure evaluation of proposals in accordance with procedures while selecting the best supplier.

• Monitoring contracts and moving forward with close-out, extension, or renewal of contracts.

• Maintaining correspondence and documentation related to contracts.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering or equivalent.

• Master’s degree is preferable.

One of the below certificates is preferable:

• Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) designation through the National Contract Management Association.

• Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) designation through the National Contract Management Association.

• Contract & Commercial Management (CCM) designation through the World Commerce & Contracting Association.

Experience:

• From 9-15 years of relevant experience in a contract procurement role.

Languages:

Excellent written and spoken English skills are essential.
