Your Future Role:

This job role is to ensure that all outdoor blasting/painting work at P.E and Dock stage and related activities are executed safely, effectively, and efficiently in accordance with applicable technical specifications, company policies, procedures, and work instructions. It is also required to perform blasting/painting production management in accordance with documented plans and requirement for projects and continually improve blasting/painting productivity.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Blasting/Painting Production management

Monitoring productivity of all outdoor blasting and painting activities at P.E and Dock stage in shipbuilding and rig construction including subcontractors’ production and ensuring timely completion of works fulfilling quality and safety. Collaborating with other departments/zones to develop and implement new processes, systems, and procedures that continually increase efficiency and productivity.

2. Planning for Blasting/Painting

Developing a clear production execution strategy and plan for outdoor blasting/painting, load analysis, block transportation/arrangement, and manpower. Planning and monitoring materials for blasting/painting and consumables for the project in advance.

3. HSE Management

Pursuing zero harm to employees by ensuring that all blasting and painting activities are executed safely in compliance with HSE standards/procedures and TDS/MSDS of paint material.

4. Resource Management

Taking primary responsibility for allocating and managing manpower and resources for outdoor blasting and painting work at P.E and Dock stage, in accordance with the project schedule and budget. Monitoring actual asset costs/man-hours against budgeted costs/man-hours and take corrective action for overruns. Coordinating with other production departments/zones and the Asset Management group to avoid asset and resource duplication.

5. Space Planning

Planning and managing the use of yard space based on current project requirements and potential project awards.

6. Training for Blasting/Painting

Preparing work procedures and instructions for all blasting and painting activities required for shipbuilding and rig projects. Preparing painting training materials for workers and production managers and conducting appropriate training regularly.

7. HR Management

Assisting the Human Resource team with workforce-related issues such as site support, recruitment, transportation, disciplinary procedures, labor relations, site welfare facilities, and offsite accommodation. Contribute to the development of all employees.

8. Relationship Management

Maintain close relationships with Planning, Project Management, Asset Management, and HR groups, as well as field/OSV Production groups, which are crucial to the Production Management group's success.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in shipbuilding or chemical engineering or equivalent.

  • Valid professional qualification : NACE CIP Level II or equivalent.

  • 3-9 years of relevant experience in shipbuilding.
