Outfitting / Pre-Painting / Commissioning / Planning Engineer
  • This job role is to ensure that all outdoor blasting/painting work at P.E and Dock stage and related activities are executed safely, effectively, and efficiently in accordance with applicable technical specifications, company policies, procedures, and work instructions. It is also required to perform blasting/painting production management in accordance with documented plans and requirement for projects and continually improve blasting/painting productivity.

  • Leadership of the commissioning division for New commercial ships, MRO Ships & Rigs.

    Accountable for the safe, effective, and efficient utilization of physical and human resources employed in all commissioning related project activities in accordance with the contract and Company Management System. Joining a new established company, the applicant will be initially focused on establishing the department’s functional objectives, strategies, plans and procedures for new commercial ships, the building of jack-up rigs and/or Maintenance that repair & overhaul of rigs and ships. Especially the special knowledge is required as below.

    • Knowledge for commissioning procedure for main engine, diesel generator and boiler etc.

    • Knowledge for vessel systems like fresh water, sea water, fuel, and lubricant system etc.

    • Knowledge for electrical diagram, equipment, panel, and systems etc.

  • As a member of the International Maritime Industries Operations Planning Department the Project Planning role is to ensure successful project delivery through effective time management. He/ She acts as a catalyst between the relevant project functional groups to ensure contract compliance, overall project planning integrity, timely delivery, maximization of IMI’s return and effective close-out.

Key Accountabilities

For Painting Engineer:

1. Blasting/Painting Production management 2. Planning for Blasting/Painting 3. HSE Management 4. Resource Management 5. Space Planning 6. Training for Blasting/Painting 7. HR Management 8. Relationship Management

For Planning Engineer:

  • Prepare, review, and update the Project Schedule/s from bidding stage ‘till close-out stage.

  • Prepare regular Project Performance Reports and produce measures to support schedule progress.

  • Liaise with the Project Management Team on all relevant planning issues.

  • Prepare weekly / monthly Subcontract’s accruals for Labor, Materials, and Equipment.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly project budget, actual and forecast reports.

  • Prepare, review and update project earned value, cashflow and variance analysis reports.

  • Report any deviation/s recognized on the project schedule or budget and prepare recovery plan/s.

  • Actively support the assigned project/s to ensure successful delivery against set business objectives.

  • Represent planning team at Integrated Work Team Meetings.

For Commissioning Engineer:

1. Machinery commissioning management 2. Monitoring whole piping system and electric system 3. Obtain ship owners' classification inspections of required systems. 4. HSE Management 5. Resource Management 6. HR Management 7. Relationship Management

Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in shipbuilding or chemical engineering or Mechanical or Electrical engineering

Experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in shipbuilding or other engineering company for experienced hire.
