Your future role & Job Purpose
Purpose:
Maintenance Supervisor is responsible to safely, timely and cost-effectively lead the performance of all shipyard’s related equipment maintenance day to day activities as per the asset management plans to achieve asset management objectives and therefore achieve IMI strategic objectives.
Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships
Key Accountabilities:
Adhere to regulations, quality, security, and safety standards.
Carry out diagnosis of faults, the maintenance, and repairs to all types of shipyard assets (fixed and mobile) in a safe, timely and professional manner and return assets to operational service.
Equipment fault diagnosis, trouble shooting, restoration and necessary remedial measures at the minimum possible time to eliminate down time and production losses.
Perform preventive, predictive, condition-based and breakdown equipment maintenances (but not limited) of shipyard equipment in a professional manner.
Provide cost-effective techniques and solutions to attain desired equipment reliability and availability.
Ability to study, interpret and analyze engineering manuals, drawings and reports and derive solutions.
Understand, observe, and support the implementation of Asset Management Policy, SAMP and Asset Management System.
Closely apply and follow-up IFS (ERP system) to manage notifications, work orders preparation and closing, parts ordering, job history recording and ensure work order closed after work completion with updated report and attachments.
Develops and implements standard work procedures to continually improve overall team productivity.
Supervises and leads maintenance teams to perform asset management activities (installations, maintenance and disposition of mechanical equipment and systems) safely and environmentally friendly with zero tolerance in the assigned areas/zones of work.
Ensure that maintenance contractors and 3rd Party services are utilized efficiently, cost effectively and in accordance with company procedures.
Inspect and test the completed works to ensure safe operation of equipment to user department before handover.
Lead critical activities like installations, pre-commissioning, commissioning, transition/hand overing, mothballing, reposition of shipyard assets; Responsible for safe work practices and be able to make decisions based on knowledge and experience.
Communicate with other maintenance supervisors and zone superintendents about status-quo of equipment and opportunity for improvements.
Identify spares requirements and monitor their utilization.
Shall be a part of project team to lead critical activities like installations, pre-commissioning, commissioning, transition/hand overing, mothballing, reposition of shipyard assets.
Work within 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) methodology to maintain workplace to a high standard.
Control and endorse work permit for the asset maintenance work and ensure that safety and environment regulations are understood and followed by the contractor.
Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
Provide inputs in development and reviewing of checklists, SOP’s, maintenance procedures, TRA/JSAs.
Follow up and execute FRACAS recommendations assigned to the zone assets.
Coordinate with executive management, maintenance superintendents and involved staff about status-quo of equipment and propose solutions to opportunity for improvements.
Promote a “can-do” team spirit creating a culture of high standards, work ethic and job satisfaction within the department.
Undertake continuous training and development.
Train and impart demonstrable asset maintenance knowledge to co-workers and apprentices and enhance their skills (Train the Trainer) in achieving Saudi Vision 2030.
Promote a sense of positive attitude, pride, and work culture in driving teams to attain Asset Management objectives.

Who we are looking for
Education:
Technical Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
Minimum of 11-15 years of practical experience in the related field or industry.
IFS practical experience is a plus.
Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations):
Technical certification in the related field.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
Knowledge of shipyard assets’ maintenance, repairs, and upgrades
Demonstrated skills and applicable knowledge of ISO & OSHAS systems.
Understanding engineering, scientific and other technical information
Advanced Problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret analysis reports (oil and vibration analysis)
Computer literacy and experience with MS Office suite
Sound knowledge in troubleshooting and faults diagnosis of mechanical,
hydraulic, and basic electrical equipment and systems
Good understanding of customer expectations and deliverables with an
awareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor quality
Prior shipyard, marine, oil and gas/offshore experience is a must.
Excellent Computer Skills in MS Office
Understanding of Health and Safety practices
Languages:
Excellent English Skills
