Sr. Mechanical Technician - Asset Management

Senior Mechanical Technician is responsible to safely, timely and cost-effectively lead the performance of all mechanical related maintenance day to day activities as per the asset management plans to achieve asset management objectives and therefore achieve IMI strategic objectives.  

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Carry out diagnosis of faults, the maintenance, and repairs to all types of shipyard equipment (Fixed and Mobile - Like CNC Machine, Cranes, Welding Machines etc..) in a safe, timely and professional manner and return assets to operational service.
  • Log completion of work and enter adequate work orders history data into IFS (IMI ERP System)
  • Carry out preventive maintenance scheduled and planned work orders as required and provide feedback to improve the program efficiency 
  • Ensure that maintenance contractors are utilized efficiently, cost effectively and in accordance with company procedures
  • Understand, observe, and support the implementation of Asset Management Policy, SAMP and Asset Management System
  • Lead activities to move, install, mothball, and reposition of equipment
  • Identify spares requirements, and monitor their utilization  
  • Work within 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) methodology to maintain workplace to a high standard
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
  • Undertake special projects as required
Experience
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of practical mechanical experience in Shipyard Asset Maintenance.
Qualifications
  • Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
