Department
Contract admin will support the ongoing operation at IMI Shipyard for the new build Rig & MRO awarded projects in the process of systematically and efficiently managing contracts. Contract admin will deliver support during the proposal and contracting phase, execution of the contract, delivery of the vessel and the warranty period. He will support the project management team to maximize operational and financial performance of projects and minimizing risk throughout the contract cycle.

Fundamental knowledge of construction techniques, building materials, standards and equipment

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret legal documents, financial reports and technical documents

• Ability to apply arithmetic concepts such as fractions, ratios and proportions to real scenarios

• Basic understanding of purchasing and supply chain procedures

• Good understanding of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and occupational, safety and environmental regulations and law

• Time management and problem-solving skills

• Negotiate and approve contract terms while ensuring that projects remain within the established budget

• Attend meetings to assess progress on projects which are in motion, and take detailed notes to share with stakeholders

• Review contract estimates, including proposed materials, production costs, etc and determine whether they seem reasonable and accurate

• Analyze contracts to ensure they comply with state and federal laws and regulations

Experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business administration 

Professional Qualifications

Min of 8 years in contract adminisatration

Competencies

Communicate (written & oral) in the English language with confidence.

• Excellent listening skills & assertive.

• Physically fit and able to work in extreme climatic conditions

• Excellent communications skills (written and oral) in the English language

• Able to sense the mood of a customer or supplier and react appropriately.

• Content to deal with detailed, routine work. • Able to work under pressure
