Adhere to regulations, quality, security, and safety standards.
Carry out diagnosis of faults, the maintenance, and repairs to all types of shipyard’s material handling and lifting equipment in a safe, timely and professional manner and return assets to operational service.
Carry out preventive maintenance scheduled and planned work orders as required and provide feedback to improve the program efficiency.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, wiring diagrams, and other specifications, as required, to determine and correctly follow installation procedures.
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair all types of HV and LV electrical & control systems failures including PLC controllers, analog and digital I/O, VFDs, transformers, motors (AC/ DC), contactors, sensors, limit switches, power modules, etc. (but not limited to).
Safely shut down electrical & instrumentation systems and/or equipment to allow for inspections, renovations, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
Supports on-call response as needed.
Log completion of work and enter adequate work orders history data into IFS.
Work within 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) methodology to maintain workplace to a high standard.
Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
Lead, undertake and support continuous training and development for young trainees and apprentices & train people within own work group.
