Operation Support Manager
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the projects & operations team. Managing project support team together to ensure that everything is running smoothly and according to plan. This might include ensuring that supplies are ordered on time, equipment is maintained properly, employees are trained appropriately, etc.

Key Accouontabilites
  • Overseeing the implementation of new policies and/or procedures to improve operational efficiency.

  • Provide the support for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, risks, quality control, and safety measures as per Organization and Projects requirements.

  • Enhance the operational procedures, systems, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting, and look for opportunities to expand processes.

  • Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.

  • Prepare and complete action plans; and implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards to resolve problems and complete internal/external audits.

  • Responsibility of analyzing, assessing, and handling the risks faced by the organization, MRO, and Newbuild Rig Projects through IMI official Risk Registers and sessions.

  • Managing budgets, costs, and financial planning to ensure that operational costs are covered by revenue generated by operations.

  • Managing, monitoring, and controlling the actual costs of the department and projects through proper mechanisms and processes.

  • Responsibility of initiating and reviewing projects and function reports on regular basis.

  • Ensuring that operational policies and procedures are followed and that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently.

  • Managing the human resources function for operations department and projects, including hiring new employees when needed.

  • Responsible for creating, reviewing, and submitting the staffing plan for the department and projects.

  • Overseeing staff training on new technology or equipment being implemented to improve operations.

  • Determining staffing needs based on workload demands and business requirements, recruiting staff when necessary, and overseeing the work performance of employees.

  • Review and endorse project reports as necessary (Progress, Cost, Schedule, Resources, Risk, Clients, ExCom etc.)

  • Ensure that all project changes are well controlled and captured as per the Project Change Management Procedure.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.

  • PMP Certification is preferred.

Experience
  • At least 15+ years of related experience including 5 years in a managerial capacity.
