Job Purpose:

Hull Outfitting Engineer will work for new build commercial ships (NBS). Accountable for the safe, effective, and efficient utilization of physical and human resources employed in all fabrication/construction related project activities with background knowledge of Piping Systems Layouts, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems, inspection equipment, hydro test, and air test.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Installation and inspection of module units, pipeline, structural elements, operating outfitting devices,

and valve remote control system.

Supervise and coordinate the installation activities and perform inspection tests such as hydrostatic and air test

to ensure the compliance with safety regulation and functional performance.

2. Team Leadership and Coordination:

Lead a team of electrical outfitting technicians and provide guidance, training, and performance feedback.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion.

3. Planning and prepare schedules to execute all activities within provided resources:

Developing a clear production execution strategy and plan for piping/welding works, load analysis, block

transportation/arrangement, and manpower. Planning and monitoring materials and consumables for the project

in advance.

4. Safety Compliance:

Implement and enforce safety protocols, risk assessment measures, and personal protective equipment

requirements.

5. Quality Control and Assurance:

Ensure adherence to quality standards and inspection procedures during hull outfitting operations.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of hull outfitting activities, including work orders, installation reports, and quality

control documentation. Prepare reports on progress, issues, and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

  • Project Management certification is a plus but not required.

  • Minimum of 3-9 years of experience in relevant field.

  • Ability to read and trace pipes and Module units’ drawings.

  • Ability to monitor, plan, and arrange of manpower.

  • Management, Leadership, and communication Skills.

  • Knowledge of pipe jointing methods.

  • Knowledge of applying Hydro Test and Air Test.
