Job Purpose:

We are looking to hire Engineer, Electrical & Instrumentation II.

Summary of the main purpose of the job as the basic function and scope of the job in terms of organization, geographic areas supported, financial or other volume/size metrics, strategic impact and nature of supervision received or exercised related to the job in a descriptive manner

Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships:

Key Accountabilities:

• Preparation of design deliverables with consideration for applicable codes & standards.

• Prepare specifications, technical evaluation, supplier documentation review, and expedite with the supplier.

• Perform calculations applying electrical & instrumentation engineering principles, techniques, procedures, and criteria for shipbuilding designs.

• Interface with other departments to reflect the most up-to-date input from other departments as applicable.

• Maintain the required technical quality of work.

• Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process.

• Ensure that designs comply with the relevant codes, standards, regulations, and procedures.

• Attend factory inspection reports.

• Progress monitoring and adherence to the scheduled completion of engineering documents.

• Capture all changes / modifications to the deliverables that have been initiated by the project prior to release.

. • Ensure appropriate checking & review of all documents and drawings before release at any revision status.

• Attending project review meetings.

• Coordination with the other engineering disciplines—customer and supplier.

• Ensure supplier documentation is received on time.

• Control of the quality of engineering documents regarding quality assurance.

• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures, as applicable.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures.

• Responsible for change management & risk identification related to their own assigned activities.

• Propose design improvements and lessons learned.

Working Relationships:

Internal Interactions

• Internal Engineering Department, Division Heads

External Interactions:

• Supplier, Subcontractors, Consultants.

Who we are looking for:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical / instrumentation engineering.

Experience: 3–9 years in the engineering design department of any offshore shipbuilding or shipbuilding industry, as an EPC contractor and/or consultant.
