Job Purpose
We are looking to hire Specialist, Electrical & Instrumentation Design
This job role is to ensure Execute Electrical & instrumentation Engineering Designing activities for rig building and MRO projects
Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships
Key Accountabilities:
The Specialist, Electrical & Instrumentation Design who will be responsible for but not limited to:
• Develop designs such as Equipment layouts, Electrical, Instrumentation & Telecom support drawings, SLD’s, Schematics, Termination Drawings, Hook ups, 3D Model with overall assistance of Senior / Lead Engineer/Lead Designer.
• Activity and deliverable planning, scheduling, and monitoring along with Senior / Lead Engineer/Lead Designer.
• Involve in Bid Engineering i.e., bid estimation for man hours and materials.
• Distribution, monitoring and checking of the work of assigned team.
• Reviews for overall completeness, general safety, access and egress, materials handling, maintenance, and operability etc.
• Perform inter-disciplinary checks.
• Ensure schedule compliance of Design deliverables including Material Requisitions.
• Input to Material Requisition, allocation, and reconciliation of materials.
• Review and comment on vendor drawings and incorporate vendor data on document deliverables.
• Perform site survey, as necessary.
• Responsible for change management and risk identification.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and company procedures.
• Propose design improvements and lesson learnt.
• Assist lead / senior engineer in performance assessment of designers & establishing training needs.
• Act as checker on design related deliverables.
• Supervise project closeout including as-built documentation.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures as applicable.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures.
Working Relationships:
Internal Interactions:
• Internal Engineering Department, other business work-streams within the company, Division Head – E&I, Engineering Manager.
External Interactions:
• Subcontractors, Consultants, Software Supplier, Inspection Agencies.
Who we are looking for
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience:
At least 3-9 years’ experience in any engineering company. Preference will be given for those had worked in ship and rig building yard, major construction yard, EPC contractor and/or Consultant Company using AVEVA 3D modelling software.
Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations):
Preferred – Any additional certification / training on CAD tools and systems.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
• Conversant with International Codes and Standards, Marine regulations, and Classification rules.
• Knowledge and working experience in E&I 3D modeling & extraction of drawings in Offshore Oil & Gas industry.
• Knowledge/Experience in 3D design tools like AVEVA.
• Knowledge/Experience in AutoCAD.
• Demonstrated high order interpersonal skills and ability to operate within a multinational environment.
