JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE

Summary of the main purpose of the job as the basic function and scope of the job in terms of organization, geographic areas supported, financial or other volume/size metrics, strategic impact and nature of supervision received or exercised related to the job in a descriptive manner.

The primary role of a Security Superintendent is to oversee and manage all security operations and technical within an organization. This includes implementing and enforcing security protocols, conducting risk assessments, and developing technical strategies to protect the organization's assets, employees, and stakeholders. Multitasking to supervising technically and operation security personnel, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and collaborating, liaise with other departments within IMI organization to ensure a comprehensive effective security strategy, also involved related external communication as representative with government sectors. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as well as be responsible for coordinating security efforts and providing guidance to the team.

Additionally, to keep updated with the latest security technologies and industry trends. This will involve conducting research, attending relevant training sessions, and continuously evaluating and improving security measures including technical issues within the IMI organization.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Areas of Accountabilities (list up to 10 prime activities) (Describe concisely each principles work activity listed in logical order normally the list with include the most important duty first indicating important decision and recommendations made if applicable; start sentences with action verbs first)

• Technically develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures for the organization.

• Manage and oversee all security operations, including physical security, access control, and CCTV surveillance.

• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate security measures.

• Provide leadership and supervision to security personnel, ensuring that they are trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.

• Collaborate with other departments to establish and enhance security protocols across the organization.

• Conduct regular KPI audits and inspections to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.

• Involved investigation and resolve security incidents, including theft, and unauthorized access within IMI premises.

• Coordinate with law enforcement agencies and emergency services in the event of an incident or crisis.

• Stay updated on Organization charts and the latest security technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations.

• Manage the security budget, Headcounts and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external security vendors and contractors.

• Participate in internal and external security audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security measures.

• Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on technical security and operations activities.

• Multi-tasking to plan employee training and awareness sessions on security protocols and best practices. And as liaise within IMI organization and involved to external communication with government sector as representative.

• Implement and maintain an emergency response plan, including evacuations and emergency drills.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education

• Bachelor’s degree engineering or equivalent. Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations)

• Certified Protection Professional

• Certified Security Professional

• Other relevant security Certified Certificate.

• Related Industrial Security Experience Certificates Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

• Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team of security personnel. This includes the ability to motivate, inspire, and guide team members towards achieving security objectives.

• Having strong analytical thinking skills being effective Security Superintendent and involved to assess potential security risks, analyze data, and make informed decisions to protect the organization's assets.

• Must be able to think of an excellent alternative to handle problem solving ability technically and operational on their feet and find solutions to security challenges that arise. This involves quickly identifying problems, evaluating possible courses of action, and implementing effective solutions.

• Excellent communication skills are vital for a Security Superintendent technically and Operations. It needs a clear direction to convey security protocols, procedures, and expectations to all team members. Additionally, flexibility and multitasking may need to liaise with other departments and stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive security strategy.

• Technically knowledgeable related security technology and keeping up to date with the latest security technologies, tools, and industry best practices is essential. Should have a strong understanding of security systems, surveillance equipment, access control measures, and emerging security threats.

• At least 9 -15 years related experience. Languages
