Job Purpose

We are looking to hire Senior Engineer – Instrumentation,

This job role is to ensure to perform and execute engineering design related to instrumentation and control systems in various projects by the engineering function.

Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships

Key Accountabilities:

The Senior Engineer – Instrumentation who will be responsible for but not limited to:

• To perform a task on detail engineering design activities of Instrumentation, Telecom and Control Systems.

• Preparation of design basis, specifications for EPC projects and other projects involving basic &detail engineering, feasibility studies and tender document preparation.

• Prepare of various engineering deliverables (drawings &documents) such as Instrument Layouts, Loop Diagram, Termination Drawings, Block Diagrams, Cable Schedule, Instrument Hook ups, Instrument Calculations & Analysis, Valve Sizing, P&IDs, Instrument Data Sheets, Cause &Effect Diagrams, Control Philosophies, Instrumentation Specifications, Fire &Gas System, PAGA, CCTV, LAN, ESD, IMCS, Telecom System, I/O list, MTO, etc.

• Material engineering which includes preparation of procurement specifications, purchase requisitions, technical bid analysis, Supplier document / drawing evaluation.

• Co-ordination with Internal Departments, Customer & Inspection Agencies.

• Ensure that designs comply with contract technical specification, relevant codes, standards, regulations, and procedures.

• Progress monitoring and adherence to scheduled completion of engineering documents.

• Attend project review meetings, site survey and inspection for job and bids.

• To guide and mentor the engineers and designers.

• Monitor budget compliance of design deliverable production.

• Activity planning, work assignment, work scheduling and monitoring. Inter disciplinary checks &co-ordination.

• Provide engineering support to operations, commissioning, and completion team.

• Identify the design improvements and lessons learned.

• To perform other task, assign by Lead Engineer or Division Head.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies &procedures.

• Ensure quality and accuracy of the engineering deliverables for the discipline and compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) responsibilities.

Internal Interactions: 

• Internal Engineering Department, other business work-streams within the company, Division Head E&I.

External Interactions:

• Customers, Supplier, Subcontractors, Consultants, Inspection Agencies

Who we are looking for

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics &Telecommunication / Instrumentation & Control Engineering

Experience:

• 9-15 years in engineering design department of any offshore rig building or ship building industry.

Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations):

• Preferred – Any additional certification / courses in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

• class rules.

• Design experience using Instrumentation software used in marine industry such us IN tools, InstruCalc, etc.

• Exposure to AutoCAD &3D design tools like AVEVA.

• Demonstrated high order interpersonal skills and the ability to operate within a multinational environment.

• Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate others with regards to continuous design improvement.

• Good communication and presentation skills.
