To involve & provide input for the build strategy during initial stages of the project in close coordination with production Engineers & Engineering department.
Ensure and understanding in detail of fabrication, assembly, erection and layout drawings for Spudcan.
Construction sequence to maintain stringent dimensional controls for effective and smooth interfacing with critical components.
To conceptualize sub assembly build methods prior to main assembly to improvise build method and manhours.
To plan installation of systems on Spudcan. To communicate with project team for effective installation onsite, at the right phase of construction.
Plan the material requirements and coordinate with the project procurement team.
Check and maintain the integrity of construction tools and equipment and arrange services as required.
Have weekly schedule coordination meetings with all subcontractor foremen to outline requirements of work completion, and other issues as may be required including but not limited to manpower requirements, interference coordination, inspections, and sequence of work. Distribute three-week look ahead schedules and communicate schedule requirements with all subcontractors.
Manage the structural construction team to ensure there is a consistent focus on a high level of detailed scope understanding and early issue identification, tracking and mitigation.
Ensure day-to-day running of the project is functioning in accordance with the project schedule and budget.
Implement, monitor, and drive the project schedule. Promptly notify management team of schedule and performance issues, be proactive in anticipating potential problems that may impact the project performance.
Should possess strong knowledge and understanding of shipyard HSEQ regulations and rig building job certification requirements and ensure the same is communicated to the project team on a regular basis.
Identify the work priorities, focus on the critical path, analyze the work problems in writing with own problemsolving mentality, accurate supervision, decision-maker with a strong convincing personality, full readiness with 'Plan B' for any unexpected issues.
Fully responsible for delivery of all Inspection Test Records (ITR’s) under the relevant discipline by effectively delegating to the foreman and chargehands. This must be approached with a high focus on interfacing and coordination with all other discipline supervision to remove all blocks from achieving target dates.
