Senior Planning Engineer
Ensure successful project delivery through effective time management. He/ She acts as a catalyst between the relevant project functional groups to ensure contract compliance, overall project planning integrity, timely delivery, maximization of IMI’s return and effective close-out.
Key Accountabilities
Prepare, review, and update the Project Schedule/s from bidding stage ‘till close-out stage.
Prepare regular Project performance reports and produce measures to support schedule progress.
Liaise with the Project Management Team on all relevant planning issues.
Prepare weekly / monthly Subcontract’s accruals for Labor, Materials, and Equipment.
Prepare weekly and monthly project budget, actual and forecast reports.
Prepare, review and update project earned value, cashflow and variance analysis reports.
Report any deviation/s recognized on the project schedule or budget and prepare recovery plan/s.
Actively support the assigned project/s to ensure successful delivery against set business objectives.
Represent planning team at Integrated Work Team Meetings.
Initiate and maintain close liaison with all members of the Operations/ Administration team and Client representatives.
Prepare Look Ahead reports based on the latest progress update and lead look ahead meetings.
Prepare and review the weekly and monthly reports for Internal and Clients.
Train Planning Engineer/s for succession planning.
Carry out schedule risk analysis as and when required. Maintain Risk Register.
Education
Batchelor’s Engineering Degree (or equivalent)
PMP Certificate preferable (but not essential).
Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) Certificate preferable.
Excellent knowledge in Primavera P6 (latest version) and MS Project
Excellent knowledge in MS Office (excel, word, power point etc.)
Experience
Minimum 12-15 years’ experience in relevant industry performing the Cost Control and Quantity Survey role with at least 5 years exposure at Senior level role.
Offshore or Onshore project fabrication/ construction experience (Rig / Lift boat/ Ship Building / MRO).
