Your future role:

IMI is looking to hire a professional Sourcing Manager who will lead the efforts of sourcing, categories, and supplier relations for IMI activities. Also support the development of the overall strategy of sourcing management. This role is expected to perform spend & category analysis, plan on forecasts for product demand and work closely with all internal stakeholders to capture their demand and develop planning strategies accordingly.
Sourcing Manager shall demonstrate strong leadership and managerial competencies, including integrity, accountability, communication skills and commitment to teamwork and excellence in responsibilities such as selecting, mentoring, coaching, supervising, motivating, and training sourcing staff.

Primary Accountabilities:

• Mentor and improve team performance.

• Set work objectives; and direct, supervise and review staff and staff assignments providing high-level technical/administrative guidance on work requirements and methods.

• Set and implement plans for all of sourcing, categories, and supplier relations team for better business participation and involvement, more commitment, more innovation, creativity, and higher satisfaction at work.

• Prepare reports and status updates of the sourcing, categories, and supplier relations activities to the supply chain general manager.

• Manage and lead long-term development strategies for products/ services categories.

• Manage and lead forecasts for products/ services demands.

• Lead the team to work with the ERP team to ensure that PSCM requirements related to category management are implemented.

• Develop baseline/ current spend analysis to determine the appropriate sourcing strategy.

• Conduct market assessment of suppliers and their supply chain.

• Monitor business trends and product availability to pay the best price for materials without sacrificing quality or delivery times.

• Analyze and interpret market conditions, trends, and data to identify market opportunities.

• Identify opportunities to enhance business performance through improved analytics and reporting.

• Leadership, coordination and coaching to the team, ensuring they are trained enabling them to achieve the operational and financial metrics within their areas of responsibility and succeed in their roles.

• People management responsibility.

• Lead the right amount of inventory by managing the customer demand and IMI inventory stock on hand.

• Conduct the evaluation/ auditing of suppliers in accordance with procedures.

Who we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or closely related degree.

• Preferably supported with a master’s degree (MBA or others.)

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience.

• Certified in Supply Chain Professional and Management.

• Knowledge of ship/rig building industry, equipment, materials, and supply chain.

• Analytical, quantitative and Problem-Solving Skills.

• Previous experience working with ERP systems.

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently.

• Fluent in English.

• Arabic is plus.
