Your future role

The Project Manager is responsible for monitoring all project activities and interfacing with project personnel to maintain at all times a complete understanding of each area of project activity. Ensure the designated project is executed as per client’s requirements and meet the HSE, Quality, Cost and Schedule objectives. Responsible for the overall commercial and operational execution of the Project in accordance with requirement from Company and its Client in terms of quality and time schedule.

Ensure that assigned projects are executed safely, on time and on budget in accordance with the contract and IMI Group Management System (IGMS) 
Your responsibilities

• As the Project Manager for this major rig project within IMI, you will be the hands-on operational lead for the project as a whole; including on site supervision either offshore or during a port or yard timeline.

Your key role will be to:-

  • In conjunction with the HSES and yard management teams ensure that all aspects of the project are executed safely and ensure compliance with HSES responsibilities. 
  • In conjunction with the HSES team ensure that project risk assessments are carried out as necessary.
  • In conjunction with the project Quantity Surveyor or Contract Administrator ensure:
  • An effective cost code structure is used to allocate and monitor budgets.
  • Timely and accurate invoicing and payment from the Client.
  • Monthly cost reports are accurately prepared in a timely manner.
  • Appropriate revenue and costs are recognized within cost reports.
  • That subcontracts are properly negotiated, awarded, and administered. 
  • Ensure that all activities relating to the project are properly planned and that the plans and responsibilities therein are passed to and understood by all concerned parties.
  • Ensure in conjunction with the Procurement Supply Chain group that all materials and equipment (including FIM and OFE) are procured and delivered in accordance with the projects contract requirements.
  • Manage all project costs against the project budget and allocate resource allowances to other company functions including production, engineering and QA/ QC to ensure that costs are controlled and efficiencies maximised.
  • Ensure that the project schedule and resource schedules and resource plans are properly prepared in accordance with the contract requirements and monitor the project to ensure its timely completion.
  • Manage the change management process with the clients, subcontractors, vendors and IMI stakeholders. 
    In conjunction with the production team ensure that labour resources are effectively and efficiently utilised in accordance with the project schedule and budget.
  • Effectively manage the project team including personnel seconded to the project team from functional groups and ensure effective communication.
  • Ensure after review that all project / contract deliverables are properly submitted to the client in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and present reports relating to the project as required to Senior Management.
  • Arrange and chair project meetings, internal and external, as necessary to ensure the effective management of the project.
  • Ensure that all project related activities are carried out in accordance with the LGMS.

Who we are looking for

• You will have a solid educational background as a Bachelor or Master level as engineer or a similar technical background such as Chief Engineer or significant Project Lead experience for New Build & MRO projects with budgets over $250million USD.
• You have a strong track record relevant project management and leadership experience, preferably from the oil and gas offshore industry from a Drilling, Rig or EPC contractor.
• The preferred candidate with have extensive offshore rig experience preferably MODU Jackups or Liftboats

Relevant Experience

• Min 15 yrs of experience in rig building industry including jack-up rig / Liftboat new build projects. Hold similar position before in established global ship or marine orientated fabrication yards.
