Your future role

The Senior Planning Engineer is expected to lead, develop and maintain all planning deliverables in support of various disciplines related to new build rigs and MRO projects.

Primary Accountabilities

• Overall responsibility of planning & scheduling for new build rig projects and actively support the planning workflow for MRO projects.
• Supervise the project planning team members and set stretched targets and KPIs to improve the team performance and recommend training and professional development of planner’s staff.
• Produce and maintain accurate project schedules and understand schedule resources loading and propose mitigation solutions based on “what if” scenarios run in Primavera Project Planning software.
• Produce planning deliverables in accordance with the project timetable from engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning data.
• Prepare weekly and monthly project budget, actual and forecast reports.
• Prepare, review and update project earned value, cashflow and variance analysis reports.
• Reports any deviations recognized on the project schedule or budget, prepares recovery plans.
• Actively support assigned projects to ensure successful delivery against set business objectives and represent planning team at Integrated Work Team Meetings
• Initiate and maintain close liaison with all members of the Operations/Administration team and client representatives.

Who we are looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in relevant industry performing the planning role, with minimum of 3 years experience as senior engineer.
• Offshore or Onshore project fabrication/construction experience (Rig / Ship Building / MRO / Oil & Gas Plants / Mining).
• Excellent knowledge in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
