Your future role & Job Purpose

Job Purpose:

  • Ensure overall safe operation of Transfer System through HPU console, Ensure HPU, Trolley, Side Supports, Trestles and Hydraulic System are well maintained and available for safe operation, lead a group Operators, in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fields, and comply with IMI Policies & Procedures and values.
Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure Safe ship lift Transfer System through HPU Console/ Control Room software based.
  • Ensure preparation, alignment, and transfer of trestles and bogies on platform well before docking operation.
  • Flushing of hydraulic system where required.
  • Preparation of transfer system zones as per docking plan to ensure safe lifting and transfer operation.
  • Diagnosis and troubleshooting of hydraulic system in bogies and HPU transfer system.
  • Ensure safe Ship lift and Transfer System Hydraulic Power Unit Console Operation (software based).
  • Ensure bogies are well maintained and available for transfer operation round the clock.
  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical/ hydraulics parts at transfer system.
  • Provide drawing review and suggestions related to part inspection and testing.
  • Coordinate with the different IMI sections for any requirements to ensure work activities are done safely and environmentally friendly with zero tolerance.
  • Ensure all alarms, sensors, motors, control room and other ship-lift equipment are in safe operational state, tested and certified if any, and kept clean and serviceable.
  • Communicate regularly with the maintenance team to report any deficiencies and to follow up routine maintenance tasks.
  • Report to Dock Master/ superintendent for any job related to the ship-lift operation.

Who we are looking for

Education:

  • B.S Degree in Mechanical/ hydraulic Engineering or equivalent
  • Any additional training courses in hydraulic and mechanical are preferred.

Experience:

  • 6-9 years of work experience in any reputable heavy industries
  • Experience must be related to handling of Hydraulic and mechanical systems and troubleshooting. Software operations like SEMATIC are preferred.
  • 03 years of practical work experience, especially on Ship-lift and Transfer Systems is preferable.

Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations):

  • Knowledge of ISO, Health & Safety Management System.
  • Practical experience of Ship lift and Transfer System operation

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

  • Faults diagnosis and troubleshooting of transfer system.
  • Software operation like SEMATIC or equivalent.
  • Sound knowledge in troubleshooting and faults diagnosis of Hydraulic circuits, HPU engine, sensors, and basic mechanical systems.
  • Understanding of Preventive Maintenance System.
  • Knowledge of site HSE requirements & how to respond in emergency.
  • Familiar with ERP systems.
  • Handling parts catalog & reading/ implementing OEM instructions.

Languages:

  • Good Communication Skills (oral and written) in English Language.
