Supervisor, Construction - Jigs & Fixtures
  • Position holder is responsible of managing a critical project with manpower planning, Job allocation, construction consumables & tools planning with budget accountability. Engineering drawings, Material take off, PR’s and Material Management.
  • Full control & administration of all elements relating to the project and execution ensuring that it is implemented according to design specifications, standards, Company Policy, and Quality Management system.
Key Accountabilities
General Project Responsibility:
1. Supervise the steel fabrication (cutting, welding, post heat treatment and handling) for Jigs & Fixtures over the project phases as per IMI capital project requirements.
2. Communicate with key stakeholders offering constructional technical input to resolve identified inter-discipline conflict during construction & fabrication phase.
3. Preparation and monitoring of progress, project schedules & budgets.
4. Follow & liaise with QA/QC, PSCM, Warehouse, Fire & Safety, Lifting & rigging, HSE and other internal stake holders for the safe & timely execution of the construction process.
5. Help PM & PE in preparing reports and presentations as required.
6. Follow & Review testing/commissioning/endurance procedures and assist with stakeholders as required.
7. Supervise documentation & certification requirements for all equipment and assets during project execution and ensure the process is in accordance with IMI Document Control Policy & Procedure.

8. Help PM in Prepare and deliver reports & presentations for J&F construction Management as required (Weekly and Monthly).
9. Supervise and Manage documentation & certification requirements during project fabrication phase and ensure the process is in accordance with IMI Document Control Policy & Procedure.

Project Team Responsibility:

 
10. Lead the Construction Team, daily operations & the implementation of safety, efficiency planning & continuous improvement strategy.
11. Ensure all elements relating to the project construction, Time booking, CNC operation, Planning & Scheduling are maintained and updated as per the project reporting criteria.
12. Mentor the Project Construction team providing leadership & guidance to resolve identified operational issues.
13. Lead the Project construction team daily operations & the implementation of project deliverables, safety, efficiency planning & continuous improvement strategy.
14. Mentor the Project Engineers toward career development by providing day to day leadership & guidance to resolve identified operational issues.

Project HSE Responsibility:

 
15. Follow-up with HSE to engineer out identified potential risks or hazards, to provide a safe working environment for all employees.
16. Implement & Engage in TRA, JSA, & PTW meetings and arrange all requirement as per IMI procedures.

Experience
  • From 11-15 years of industry experience. Min 4 years’ experience as a Project Engineer in shipbuilding, oil & gas, or equivalent industry.
Qualifications
  • Diploma degree or equivalent.
  • Preferred PMP, AutoCAD, 3D systems, & relevant use of calculation software’s, etc.
