Your future role & Primary Accountabilities:
Job Purpose:
- Position holder is responsible for the installation, testing, Pre-commissioning & Commissioning activities related to electrical & Instruments for High Integration Equipment, ensuring that all activities are performing as per approved ITP, Installation Procedure & implemented of design specifications, standards, Company Policy and Quality Management system.
Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships
Key Accountabilities:
- Strong knowledge and experience of international engineering standards and procedures NEC, IEC, ANSI, ISO, API, NETA, IEEE
- Supervision & Inspection of cable tray, conduits, cable laying, glanding, termination in JB/ Panel /Instrument ends, Local Distribution Panel Boards, Socket Outlets.
- Inspection of cable for their physical appearance, mongering and continuity testing, glanding, termination & loop Checking.
- Supervision & Inspection of Earthling/Grounding System, Lightning Protection System, earth resistance test as per Standards.
- Reviewing of Electrical & instrumentation drawings such as instrumentation location and cable tray layout, installation hook ups, junction boxes, loop schemes & cable schedules.
- Monitor execution work installation of power distribution of lighting systems at the site.
- Control and monitor all Electrical Quality control / Inspection activities at the project site.
- Inspection for I/R of cables, Torque Test of all kinds of Electrical equipment.
- Inspection for installation of the motors & GSU Transformer.
- Responsible for verifying the installation of the instruments by performing inspections as per the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and recording the findings on the Quality Record (QR).
- SAT (Site Acceptance Test) for DCS, PLC and ESD System
- Coordinating with the commissioning team for mechanical completion.
- Responsible for checking pre-commissioning & Commissioning tests such as Insulation/continuity test of all wiring systems termination of equipment and panel boards.
- Walkthrough of PMCC & MCC packages.
- Assist the commissioning teams responsible for completion verification, the function testing of systems and hardware, and assisting operations in a safe rapid ramp up.
- Support the planning & delivery of asset integration systems for electric utilities with increasing penetration of distributed energy resources (DERs), integrating data analytics and other optimization software platforms to improve the utilities’ customer relationship, and return on invested capital.
- Involved in local and remote final loop checking.
- Ensure that the energization package submitted by the contractor contains all the relevant QA/QC documents.
- ·needed during the energization of equipment.
- Supporting all delivery activities in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, policies, and procedures, including Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance, Quality Control.
- As built the drawings, termination schedules, Instrument Loop Diagram (ILD), Datasheets and Logic diagrams etc., as per the modifications made on site or change order issued by client.
- Striving for continual improvement of the implemented QMS.
- Supervise documentation & certification requirements during project execution and ensure the process is in accordance with IMI Document Control Policy & Procedure.
- Excellent inter-personal skills, a proactive team player in combination with a strong self-supporting/ independent character.

Who we are looking for
Education:
- Qualification in Electrical Engineering
Experience:
- 3-9 years’ experience as Electrical QC Inspector in shipbuilding or oil & gas.
Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations):
Strong technical knowledge of
- HV, MV & LV Electrical Systems
- Instrumentation & Control Systems
- Communication System
- Power, Control & Instrumentation Cables
- Transformers & RTU
- Switchgears
- MCCs
- DCS
- SCADA
- Cathodic Protection
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
- Demonstrates ability to listen to the views of others and respond in a logical, well thought out manner without the need to resort to authority.
- Hands on approach, able to work well under pressure and prioritize workload to meet project needs.
- Experience and Knowledge of flow metering, instrumentation, PLC, SCADA, valves, pumps, sampling systems, analyzers, Flow Computers, E&I wiring and control panels. Experience in the pre-commissioning, commissioning, operations, or auditing of electrical distribution systems.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of Asset Management/ERP systems, ISO Standards. Computer proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Project.
- Significant project management and engineering experience.
- Good habits.
- Experience in working with diverse cultures.
