Job Purpose:

We are looking to hire Sr. Electrical Engineer, who will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Safely, timely and cost-effectively lead the performance of all electrical related maintenance day to day activities as per the asset management plans to achieve asset management objectives and therefore achieve IMI strategic objectives. 
• To preserve the function of our physical assets throughout their life period to the satisfaction of international standards through continued process improvement, selecting and applying the most cost-effective techniques along with proactively preventing and managing failures and their consequences. 

Key Accountabilities:

• Adhere to regulations, quality, security, and safety standards.
• Liaise with projects’ stockholders, asset management team and other engineers to ensure full and timely support is provided.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, wiring diagrams, and other specifications, as required, to determine and correctly follow installation procedures.
• As applicable, supervise perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair all types of electrical equipment failures including but not limited to 13.8 KV breakers, 480 Volt breakers, transformers, substation breakers and controls, 480 Volt motor control centers, AC and DC motors, contactors, capacitors, transformers, process equipment and electronic control system devices.
• Review and approve all the plans to shut down electrical systems and/or equipment to allow for inspections, renovations, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• As applicable, supervise and guide the diagnosis of faults, the maintenance, and repairs to all types of electrical assets in a safe, timely and professional manner and return assets to operational service.
• Review and approve the plans to switch and transfer electric loads.
• Participate in electrical systems/equipment commissioning and provide observations.
• Supervise the ESOs and make sure that they perform their work safely, timely and cost-effectively.
• Develop and/or review preventive maintenance checklists aiming to improve efficiency and quality.
• Prepare technical reports, project updates and status reports for team and senior management.
• Undertake special projects as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
• Lead and/or support young trainees and apprentices & train people within own work group.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical (Power) Engineering or equivalent

Experience:

• Minimum of 9-15 years of hands-on experience

Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations):

• Must have a working knowledge of OSHA and/or NEBOSH standards and practices.
• Knowledgeable about electric networks and systems
• IFS practical experience is a plus.

• Excellent Computer Skills in MS Office
