Your future role & Job Purpose
Job Purpose:
We are looking to hire Engineer, Commissioning Mechanical who will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Commissioning, control & administration of all elements relating to the testing & validation process for High Integration Equipment, ensuring that it is implemented according to design specifications, standards, Company Policy and Quality Management system.
Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure equipment is installed and operates as per the manufacturer’s specifications.
- Reviews the project technical documentation and the contractual requirements.
- Coordinates activities of vendor representatives and subcontractors.
- Support the planning & delivery of asset integration systems for electric utilities with increasing penetration of distributed energy resources (DERs), integrating data analytics and other optimization software platforms to improve the utilities’ customer relationship, and return on invested capital.
- Ensure safe execution of all commissioning activities through the application of work permit procedure.
- Defines commissioning work packages and prepare the relevant procedures with the assistance of discipline engineers.
- Prepares the commissioning dossiers.
- Supervises commissioning field activities.
- Assist the commissioning teams responsible for completion verification, the function testing of systems and
hardware, and assisting operations in a safe rapid ramp up. - Assist the development of Commissioning Plan and coordinate the resources.
- Ensure that all aspects of the commissioning process are documented, approved, and recorded for future reference as required and assure safe and thorough commissioning.
- Assisting Development of Testing & Commissioning Procedures managing the implementation.
- Supporting all delivery activities in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, policies, and procedures, including Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and progress and financial reporting.
- Awareness of the Risk Management system, Risk Register, Lesson learned Register & respective responsibilities.
- Evaluate technical & operational recommendations and manage the change according to guidelines & parameters set by Executive Management.
- Work closely with HSE to engineer out potential hazards, to provide a safe working environment, for all.
- Supervise documentation & certification requirements during project execution and ensure the process is in accordance with IMI Document Control Policy & Procedure.
- Excellent inter-personal skills, a proactive team player in combination with a strong self-supporting/ independent character.

Who we are looking for
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, marine engineering or equivalent
Experience:
- 3-9 years’ experience as Commissioning engineer in shipbuilding, oil & gas, or equivalent industry.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
- Demonstrates ability to listen to the views of others and respond in a logical, well thought out manner without the need to resort to authority. Hands on approach, able to work well under pressure and prioritize workload to meet project needs.
- Experience and Knowledge of flow metering, instrumentation, PLC, SCADA, valves, pumps, sampling systems, analyzers, Flow Computers, E&I wiring and control panels. Experience in the design, pre-commissioning, commissioning, operations, or auditing of electrical distribution systems.
- Well-developed presentation skills and excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to manage large multi-disciplinary teams, across a broad range of technologies. Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of Asset Management/ERP systems, ISO Standards. Computer proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Project.
- Significant project management and engineering experience.
- Good habits.
- Experience in working with diverse cultures.
