ROV Supervisor
- To Work closely together with the project manager and the project team to ensure that all assigned projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget in accordance with the contract and Internatioanl Maritime Industries Management System (IMIMS).
- The candidate must be able to collaborate with other departments and communicate results and concerns to the higher management. To work pressure and drive a team to completion against aggressive timelines and work scopes.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for managing all ROP Inspection interfaces of IMI Team and awarded sub-contracts, around safety, quality, and schedule.
- Maintain a high - level control around cost of all ROV inspection and equipment utilized in the construction process.
- Ensure manpower resources are allocated appropriately to execute the works according to the schedule and consistently drive towards organized and productive output from direct and indirect discipline labour, using tolls to monitor, measure against budget and constantly stive for improvement.
- Manage the team to deliver first time right quality across through the inspection phase.
- Manage the team to unsure there is consistent focus on a high level of detailed scope understanding and early and formal issue identification, tracking and mitigation.
- Driver a strong schedule adherence culture int eh team by consistent schedule review, monitoring, management and execution through use of schedule delay analysis, look ahead and forecasting tools.
- Establish continuity of information from Engineering to Production to enable a smooth flow of work throughout the project. Engage regularly with production through formal and informal meetings to deal with all issues and related mitigations as early as possible.
- Ensure day-today running of the project is functioning in accordance with the LGMS and project priorities and liaise with the various departments, as necessary.
- Effective and consistent interaction with all management personnel, but particularly Project Manager and work force, around safety related issues is required. Regular attendance and delivery of TBT's take %'s and Safety Walks is required, along with strong leadership.
- Should possess full knowledge, and understanding and endorsement of all IMI HSES policies, procedures, rules, regulations and certification requirement and ensure the same is communicated to the team on a regular basis.
- Contribute strongly to build strategy development either for bid work or on live projects, as required.
- Possess strong initiative around decision making and ability to conceptualize plans and technical solutions to deal with a wide array of construction issues.
- Liaise with the key client representatives to ensure all Company's obligations are met under the contract.
- Support operations including inspections and marine activities and the utilization of IMI equipment and hired equipment.
Experience
- At least 10 years of experience operating and maintaining either commercial or recreational ROV.
- At least 5 years in offshore Rigs and Ship inspections.
Qualifications
- Should have a Bachelor's degree or Higher Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
- Should have OPITO H2S, Offshore Medical and Offshore Survival training.
