Plumber

• Plumber Technician is responsible to safely, timely and cost-effectively undertake a variety of plumbing tasks ranging from fixing leakages to installing pipes and maintenance of Plumbing system. The goal is to install and maintain well-functioning systems that transport water, waste, gases, or hot liquids. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems
• Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure
• Install and maintain water supply systems
• Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g., leaks)
• Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
• Repair domestic appliances (e.g., washing machines) and fixtures (e.g., sinks) etc.
• Install and maintain gas and liquid heating systems (air-conditioning units, radiators etc.)
• Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning Drain-Waste-Vent (DWV) systems
• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures
• Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals
• Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies
• Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems
• Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used
• Lead and/or support young trainees and apprentices & train people within own work group

Experience

• Minimum of Five (5) years of hands-on experience in Facility Maintenance as Plumber.
• Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma in Civil Engineering or Plumbing
• Excellent Computer Skills in MS Office
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings
• Excellent English Skills
