Job Purpose

We are looking to hire Engineer, Facilities Maintenance who is to ensure following but not limited to:

• Ensuring the facilities are safely operated and maintained, up to code, and fully operational.
• Oversee and coordinate the workers who maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, ventilation, refrigeration, and other building systems by performing systems evaluations on facilities and determine what installation or repair services need to be performed. “To preserve the function of our physical assets throughout their life period to the satisfaction of international standards through continued process improvement, selecting and applying the most cost-effective techniques along with proactively preventing and managing failures and their consequences”.

Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships

Key Accountabilities:

• Adhere to regulations, quality, security, and safety standards
• Gathering and analyzing data and preparing reports and compliance documentation.
• Determining facility and equipment specifications.
• Evaluating operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies.
• Developing processing plans and optimizing resource allocation.
• Coordinating and overseeing contractors performing maintenance activities.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
• Assign and schedule work tasks with other facility technicians in a team-oriented environment and perform initial evaluations of building systems and distribute work assignments.
• Evaluate team members’ individual performances to ensure quality operations and investigate all accidents caused by team members and prepare relevant reports.
• Coordinate and follow up on preventative maintenance for all systems.
• Review and maintain maintenance logs and maintenance budgets and complete all documentation necessary to the completed tasks.
• Instruct team in how to dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with established OSHA procedures.
• Budget for facilities maintenance activities
• Manage and handle special upgrading/overhauling projects
• Planning building maintenance and operational programs for the awarded FM contracts.
• Liaison with all clients and make sure a smooth operation of facilities. Ensuring efficiency of all building systems.
• Lead and/or support young trainees and apprentices & train people within own work group

Who we are looking for

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, facility engineering, or any related field.

Experience:

• 5/+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably has shipyard experience

Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations):

• Strong knowledgeable about facility management
• FMP or CFM is a plus
• IAM Certificate is a plus
• CMRP Certificate is a plus
• Excellent Computer Skills in MS Office

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

• Understanding of Health and Safety practices
• Knowledge of root cause failure analysis tools
• Experienced in developing and implementing preventive/predictive maintenance policies and increasing asset availability
• Ability to gather data and analyse them
• Excellent team working skills
• Ability to transfer knowledge to others
• Must be a self-starter, proactive, flexible, and deadline-focused
