Your future role & Job Purpose
We are looking to hire Logistics Operation Specialist I (SMP Role)
The senior logistics operation specialist will be responsible to deal with fright forwarders and managing the import as a ‘’consignee’’, and Experience in Saudi logistics market.
Moreover, he or she will be responsible to handle the movement of materials from supplier to IMI ensuring using the most suitable mode(s) of transportation and the most cost effective.
Key Accountabilities
The Logistics Operation Specialist I, will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Adhere to IMI policies and safety standards.
- Work with all the stakeholders to understand the needs and wants and agree on work process.
- Developing logistics plan and materials movements from supplier to IMI and communicate the same with the logistics services provider.
- provide quotations for materials delivery to purchasing team/estimator.
- Manage the project materials delivery schedule (SEA, AIR, ROAD)
- Monitor and manage the performance of the logistics service provider and ensure the performance is meeting the agreed KPI.
- Closely follow up the shipments with the logistics services provider and have an accurate update about the status of the shipments.
- Verify and manage the logistics service provider invoices in ERP system.
- Manage the operation process between IMI and the logistics services provider starting from sending the RFQ until the payment of the service provider invoice.
- Work closely with purchasing team to identify the materials delivery incoterms (FOB, CFR, CIF, FAS…etc) and ensure safe and on time delivery of materials.
- Work with the purchasing team to develop a work process for the flow of documents from supplier to logistics departments.
- Liaise with finance for payments for the logistics services
Who we are looking for
Experience: 8/+ years of relevant experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in related major
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Proven record in managing and handling the logistics operation of sea, air and road dealing with different type of shipments such as include container, bulk, break bulk, LCL.
- knowledge in logistics transportation management ERP system and the work process.
- Experience in dealing and managing third party contract.
Language: Fluent In English
Working Relations (Internal Interactions & External Interactions)
Internal Interactions:
Interact with different stakeholders for materials receive and issue such as quality, operations, logistics, Asset management…etc
External Interactions:
will work with the warehousing third party service provider who will be operating IMI warehouses.
