Your future role & Job Purpose

We are looking to hire Logistics Operation Specialist I.

The logistics operation specialist will be responsible to manage the logistics operation and liaise with purchasing team for the movement of materials from supplier to IMI. 

Key Accountabilities

The Logistics Operation Specialist I, will be responsible for but not limited to:

  1. Adhere to IMI policies and safety standards and comply with HSES polices and procedures. 
  2. Work with the purchasing team closely for the movement of materials from supplier to IMI through sea, air and land. 
  3. Provide logistics quotations to purchasing team/estimator. 
  4. Work with the logistics provider to perform the logistics operations and ensure operations conducted as per the standard operating process agreed upon. Also identify any area in the operation process. 
  5. Closely follow up the shipments with the logistics services provider and have an accurate update about the status of the shipment’s status. 
  6. Manage and process the logistics PO in the system 
  7. Verify and process the logistics service provider invoices in ERP system. 
  8. Coordinate with the logistics service provider for the plan of materials movements.
  9. Work with the trade compliance team to ensure on-time lifting of the cleared materials. 
  10. Arrange surveyor services and insurance claim in case of damage. 
  11. Maintain proper record about each shipment. 
  12. Manage the documentation of the logistics operation include filling.
Who we are looking for

Experience:  6-10/+ years of relevant experience.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in related major 

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Proven record in the logistics operation with ability to handle different type of shipment sea, air and land.
  • knowledge in transportation management system ERP and the work process. 
  • Experience in managing third party contract.

Language: Fluent In English

Working Relations (Internal Interactions & External Interactions)

Internal Interactions:

Interact with different stakeholders for materials receive and issue such as quality, operations, logistics, Asset management…etc

External Interactions:

will work with the warehousing third party service provider who will be operating IMI warehouses.
