Your future role:

Working on the design, maintenance and development of a wide range of welding systems and equipment. Harnessing the latest techniques, such as laser and electron beam technology, for use in a wide range of construction projects. Training other welders on new techniques, processes or changes in design.


Your responsibilities:
  • Prepares the welding execution plan for bids and projects
  • Carry out trials with alternate welding consumables as required by project or deemed necessary by organization for improving productivity. 
  • Carry out trials for the new technologies that are available in the market. 
  • Estimation & ordering of welding consumables. 
  • Investigation and management of welding defect rates. 
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures. 
  • Improve the welding efficiency of the yard. 
  • Maximize the usage of automatic / mechanized welding processes
  • Minimize the weld repair and reworks
  • Minimize the wastage of welding consumables 
  • Train the welding operation team (Welder, Welding foreman / Supervisor) for effective functioning
  • Regular monitor the welder efficiency factor and improve the productivity
  • Carry out RCAs to incorporate & manage the welding defect rate and other welding related concerns. 
  • Participate in Welding Technology Council meetings and present the lessons learnt and new technologies 
Who we are looking for:
  • Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering Degree holder.
  • International / European Welding Engineer as Professional qualification.
  • At less 10 years’ experience on welding engineering.
