Senior Electrical Technician

Senior Electrical Technician is responsible to safely, timely and cost-effectively lead the performance of all electrical related maintenance day to day activities as per the asset management plans to achieve asset management objectives and therefore achieve IMI strategic objectives.  

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Carry out diagnosis of faults, the maintenance, and repairs to all types of shipyard Equipment (Fixed & Mobile) in a safe, timely and professional manner and return assets to operational service
• Carry out preventive maintenance scheduled and planned work orders as required and provide feedback to improve the program efficiency
• Log completion of work and enter adequate work orders history data into IFS (IMI ERP System)
• Adhere to regulations, quality, security, and safety standards
• Understand, observe, and support the implementation of Asset Management Policy, SAMP and Asset Management System
• Ensure that maintenance contractors are utilized efficiently, cost effectively and in accordance with company procedures
• Lead activities to move, install, mothball, and reposition of shipyard assets
• Work within 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) methodology to maintain workplace to a high standard
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
• Undertake special projects as required

Experience

• Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on electrical experience

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering 
• ESO certificate is a big plus
