JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE
  • To work closely together with the Production supervisor to ensure that all assigned projects works are executed safely, on time, and within budget in accordance with the contract and IMI's Management System.

  • The candidate must be able to work collaboratively with other trades and effectively communicate results and concerns to the supervisor. Working under pressure to meet aggressive deadlines and work scopes.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Structural Fabricator

Pipe Fabricator

  • Ensure all structural and outfitting project works are executed safely on time.
  • Can read and understand fabrication drawings, thickness gauging reports, WPS, ITP, PRQ, written and verbal instructions.
  • Responsible for steel removal, repair, nesting/prefabrication, installation (Fit up), panel/block erection, testing of Structural and outfitting (foundations, ladders, I beam, handrails, bulkheads, and frames, and braces, etc.,) project works.
  • When engaging in any activity, ensure that to have a valid work permit (Hot/Cold/Isolation/TRA/JSA etc.) and attend safety and daily toolbox meetings.
  • Verifying dimensions, measurements, cutting and plate edge preparation for welding and handle different machines like steel cutting machines, plate bending machines, bevel cutting machines, electrical or manual tools.
  • Able to handle the steel repair works on the deformation plates/bulkheads/Pitting etc.,
  • Monitor materials usage to ensure possible shortages are identified and addressed at the earliest possible opportunity.
  • Inspect the equipment and tools they use while performing their job and maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Security (HSES) responsibilities.

 

  • Ensure all assigned piping project works are executed safely on time.
  • Can read and understand isometric drawings, P&ID’s sketches, WPS, ITP, PRQ, written and verbal instructions.
  • Responsible for removal, repair, prefabrication, installation, testing of piping, valves, pipe supports and its associated project works.
  • Able to work with a variety of pipe sizes and schedule/material grades.
  • Inspect the equipment and tools, consumables they use while performing their job and maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
  • When engaging in any activity, ensure that to have a valid work permit (Hot/Cold/Isolation/TRA/JSA etc.) and attend safety and daily toolbox meetings.
  • Verifying dimensions, measurements, cutting and pipe edge preparation for welding.
  • Monitor materials usage to ensure possible shortages are identified and addressed at the earliest possible opportunity.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Security (HSES) responsibilities.
  • Able to perform hydro testing and pneumatic testing’s process piping systems.

 


Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Offshore Oil and Gas, Shipyard/Ship repair Industry.
  • Looking for candidates working in Saudi Arabia with local transfer option.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent qualification
