Your future role & Job Purpose

We are looking to hire a Lead Instrument Engineer (Rig building engineering), who will be responsible for but not limited to:

• To lead detail engineering design activities of Electrical and Control Systems.
• Review, check and approve Contractor's design per scope of work and contract.
• Read, write and review technical specifications.
• Shall be capable of developing bid or subcontract packages. Evaluate technical bids and prepare reports.
• Support construction team during the construction phase.
• Knowledge of all International, European and North American codes and standards.
• Experience is Contract administration, staff planning, schedule & estimation of E&I related activities.
• Good communication skills.
• The individual in this role acts as technical liaison between Client, Contractor and the Company. Experience in offshore rig building is preferable.
Primary Accountabilities

• Assist Engineering Manager in day-to-day E&I engineering activities
• Lead Electrical & Instrumentation design activities of the off-shore rig design
• Lead team of engineers to accomplished project objectives and goals
• Coordinate with Basic designer and Detail Engineering Contractor
• Act as E&I liaison between Client, Basic design Contractor/Licensor, Detail Engineering Contractor, and the Company
• Write / Develop technical subcontract or bid packages
• Identify scope gaps, deficiencies etc. in design
• Lead E&I meetings, prepare meeting minutes, follow-up on action items and close gaps
• Recommend design modifications/improvement
• Provide technical advice or guidance to team members and to DD contractor
• Ensure deliverables compliance with project scope, standards and stakeholder's requirements and expectations
• Resolve issues / concerns associated with scope and contractual documents
• Evaluate E&I systems, products, components, and applications by applying knowledge of E&I
• Confirms and ensure system's and component's capabilities

Who we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
• 15/+ years in engineering department of any offshore rig building or ship building industry
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Demonstrated high order interpersonal skills and the ability to operate within a multinational environment.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate others with regard to continuous improvement.
• Preferred – Any additional certification / courses in piping engineering
• Negotiation skills
• Presentation skills
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Computer skills
