Your future role

Ensure that all project cost controls related activities are carried out in accordance with Company policies and Procedures.

Your responsibilities

Main responsibilities as follows:

  • Prepare, review and updated Project EPS, WBS and Schedules from bidding stage till close-out stage.
  • Prepare and manage regular Project Performance Reports and Dashboards.
  • Responsible for gathering required information from across the group to ensure optimisation of resources and control of all associated project work.
  • Analyse potential Project changes and provide associated risks, issues, cost and resources.
  • Liaising with the Project Management Team on all relevant cost and planning issue.
  • Prepare weekly / monthly Subcontracts accruals for Labour, Materials, Equipment etc.
  • Monitor potential of Change Management (internal / customer / supplier) and coordinate with the project stake holders on the same
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project budget, actual and forecast reports.
  • Develop systems and procedures for Cost Control Function (including interface with ERP team during establishment / troubleshooting phase) and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
  • • Understand cost estimates, including material, manpower, Asset Management & Marine Operation. Coordinate with Business Development team whenever discrepancies are noticed
  • • Upload all relevant project cost and expenses data in the designated project management software with clear schedules of when the expenses are likely to be incurred
  • • Create a process of information flow with respect to each expense head (such as material, manpower, AMMO, PMT ect)
  • • Monitor cost performance, generate variance / exceptions reports as and when required. Present the same to Project manager and obtain approval to distribute further as per matrix
  • • Be responsible to assess potential Change Management (internal / customer / supplier). Coordinate with the project stake holders on the same

  • Holding a Bachelor in Mechanical (Electrical / Controls) Engineering.
  • Excellent knowledge of Primavera P6
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as Cost Control Engineer, preferably in a similar industry or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English, and an excellent communicator and know how to interact in a multicultural environment.
